Homework

Students will have homework on Monday-Thursday evenings. They are required to read an A.R. book for a minimum of 15 minutes, write their spelling words 1 time each, and practice Multiplication facts on these evenings. Students will bring home their Planner every night to be signed once they have read, practiced spelling words, and practiced their facts.

A.R.

Each 9 weeks students will receive a new A.R. goal. They must reach this goal by the end of the 9 weeks in order to attend the A.R. party. Please make sure your child is reading every night to ensure he/she meets his/her goal on time!

Spelling

Students will have a new spelling list each week. It is very important to make sure students practice their spelling words every night. We will take a spelling pre-test each Thursday. If students do not score 100% on the pre-test, they will be required to take the spelling test on Friday. The weekly spelling lists will be taped inside your child's Planner at the beginning of each week. You can also access spelling lists at: https://www.spellingcity.com/marshall3rd/
