3rd Grade Events

3rd grade has been busy this month with many fun activities!

On October 6th, Firefighter Caleb Carson from the El Dorado Fire Department visited us to tell the 3rd graders what it's like to be a firefighter. He told us what his day is like, what he had to do to become a firefighter, and what it's like to be in a fire. He also showed us all the parts of his gear and even put everything on! The 3rd graders learned a lot about being a firefighter and asked some great questions.

October 8th was 3rd Grade Family Fun Night - "Batty About 3rd Grade." Parents and students came together to play multiplication Bingo, read a story about bats and answer questions, and make bats to hang on our display. We had a great night!!

M&M Arrays

We had a very tasty Friday! Students have been learning multiplication and how to group objects. Today we made edible arrays with M&M's! We made arrays using 20, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, and 3 M&M's. The best part was eating them as we tried out new arrays!
